From seeing the last 9 or 10 songs, this was an enjoyable, but short show. It sucked missing most of Operation: Mindcrime, but having seen in twice last year made it not as bad. What was interesting was seeing Brian Tichy and John Moyer in place of Simon Wright and Rudy Sarzo. They really kicked ass and it was great to see them perform what amounted to the second half of side two of Mindcrime. Geoff Tate sounded great, too. His range isn’t what it was in the 80s and 90s, but he’s still way better than a majority of the vocalists out there. The encore could have had much better song selections, but it was still a good performance. If they could only get Chris DeGarmo back….
