The world is in a state of chaos according to a magnetic progressive metal band out of Montreal, Quebec Canada named Voivod.  This intense and angry metal band exposes the evil behavior that has engulfed the world with their scorching new album “Symphonique.”  This ominous collection of explosive music is a live album featuring twelve fiery tracks that bring out growling vocals and bone-jarring progressive metal melodies combined with the frightening melodies of the Quebec City Orchestra.  

The chaotic scene begins to reveal itself as an endless nightmare playing inside one’s mind in the dark track “Experiment.”  This track features snarling vocals and brooding progressive metal melodies that Marvin Martian has made good on his promise to destroy of the earthlings.  Meanwhile, the chaos continues has the moon has a violent thunderstorm occurring on its surface in the explosive track “Cosmic Drama.”  This track features screaming vocals and thunderous power metal melodies that sound like God is extremely upset because humanity has destroyed his beautiful creation.  So, he is starting the next phase of his plan which is to slowly dismantle the universe so that the world falls into darkness.

Finally, the chaotic scene comes to an abrupt end in the scathing track “Fall.”  This track features moaning vocals and eerie power metal melodies that sound like a group of frightened people who were once consumed by greed and obsessed with power are suddenly wandering around aimlessly while their mighty metropolises are have become a pile of smoldering ashes.

Voivod is a mighty sci-fi power metal band who shows no signs of slowing down after four decades of hair-raising music with their haunting release “Symphonique.”
