For those who like to explore strange new worlds will have to look no further than the legendary classic rock band out of Stony Brook, New York named Blue Oyster Cult.  This mysterious band tells hair-raising tales about romance, dancing on tropical islands, and agonizing heartache with their iconic eerie classic rock sound which brought them to stardom in the 1970’s. Now, ‘Ghost Stories’ will be released on April 12, 2024 featuring twelve tracks that will give listeners goosebumps while listening to this mind-numbing collection of music.

The hair-raising adventure begins with a quiet man’s heart pounding wildly in the guilt-ridden track “So Supernatural.”  This track features eerie vocals and haunting classic rock melodies that sound like aliens are invading Planet Earth.  This track is a somewhat ominous, yet forbidden tale about a quiet man who is literally feelings that are out of this world for a beautiful woman who he unexpectedly meets whileenjoying a beer or two at a nightclub.  Therefore, these strange feelings are keeping the normally quiet man awake as he attempts to go to sleep after leaving the nightclub.  Meanwhile, the hair-raising adventure continues as the sun slowly rises along with the sweltering heat in the sizzling track “Soul Jive.”  This track features sultry vocals and groovy classic rock melodies that sound like a man who is happily dancing with an exotic woman at an outdoor bar on a breathtaking tropical island.  This track is a seductive tale about a restless man who is completely mesmerized by this exotic woman with whom he has been happily dancing with during a steamy evening.  So, the restless man is desperately hoping to spend the rest of his life with her in total happiness with noworries whatsoever.

Finally, the hair-raising adventure comes to an abrupt end with dreams of a long- lasting romance turning into excruciating heartache overwhelming a man in the agonizing track “Don’t Come Running To Me.”  This track features screaming vocals and explosive classic rock melodies that sound like a volcano has erupted is spewing hot lava high into the air.  This track is a heartbreaking tale about a once loving man who has become angered after his former girlfriend suddenly comes running back to him after leaving him for another man.  However, the once loving makes his point abundantly clear to his former girlfriend will not be taken for a fool ever again. This means that theonce loving man has enjoyed a peaceful life since his former girlfriend decided he was not good enough for her and left him for another man.  So, the once loving man is still recovering from the unimaginable heartache and refuses to allow himself to fall for his former girlfriend’s pattern of pathological lies.

Blue Oyster Cult is an amazing classic rock band who is not afraid to push boundaries with extraterrestrial brand of gritty vocals combined with vividly galactic classic rock melodies that have been deeply embedded into the brains of their devoted fans for many years.  The release of the brilliantly crafted upcomingalbum ‘Ghost Stories’ will undoubtedly have the same appeal to them as well as es well as exposing music from an unforgettable band to future generations.
