Friday March 24th, 2017 is a continuation of the anniversary of 35 years since the passing of Randy Rhoads, one of rock musics most admired guitarists. Randy Rhoads passed away in a tragic plane accident while on tour with Ozzy Osbourne and the Blizzard of Ozz band on March 19th, 1982. This commemorative show took place at Vamp’d in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The house band, The Madmen was anchored by Rudy Sarzo of the Blizzard of Ozz band on bass. Rudy, who also played with Randy in Quiet Riot, and moved on after Ozzy Osbournes band, to playing in Whitesnake, DIO, Queensryche and Blue Oyster Cult, was with Randy at the time of his death.
