A feeling of regret is opening up old wounds in Seattle, Washington as Sub Pop Records has released a melancholy, yet delightful alternative rock lover’s album “Everything All the Time” (20thAnniversary Edition) by an alternative rock band named band named Band of Horses.  This dreary band made a name for itself two decades ago with itssorrowful vocals and gloomy alternative rock melodies that sound like people who have been drowning in their own sorrow for an eternity with twenty-four tracks that will bring out this point in a cold and irritating way.

The feeling of regret pours out of a lonely man’s soul in the ominous track “The First Song.”  This track features haunting vocals and eerie alternative rock melodies that sound like two strangers meeting in the park on a windy day and strike up a friendlyconversation, find commonality, and eventualromance.  Meanwhile, the friendship that became a passionate romance turned into a wrath of unbridled anger in the agonizing track “Our Swords.”  This track features moaning vocals and sharp alternative rock melodies that sound like a once loving couple who have become enemy combatants who want to carve each other’s hearts out over every little disagreement.  Therefore, the once loving couple is full of overwhelming bitterness.

Finally, the feeling of regret comes to a peaceful end in the reflective track “St. Augustine.”  This track features soulful vocals and rustic alternative rock melodies that sound like trees rustling through the trees on a cloudy, cool day while a couple looks back on their past with happiness realizing that forever was not meant to be.  So, the couple is saying goodbyeand moving on without anger and bitterness.

Band of Horses is a bleak alternative rock bandwho views romance as uplifting, yet dizzying ride of emotions like a group of wild horses running on a beach throughout their heart wrenching album “Everything All the Time” (20th Anniversary Edition).
