“Yellow”
By Leslie Snyder
Dark clouds have given way to bright sunshine coming out Sweden in the form of an exciting, yet passionate jazz, rock, and soul musicians who call themselves Shuffle Knights. This colorful band will take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster ride with their latest album “Yellow” which will be released on May 22, 2026 featuring thirteen heart wrenching tracks that will undoubtedly tug at one’s heart strings.
The emotional rollercoaster ride begins when feelings of peace surpass relentless anger in the calming track “Open Up, Let Me In.” This track features soulful vocals and groovy rock melodies that sound as though the weight of the world has suddenly been lifted off of a group of weary people after a brutal war has ended. Now, they are happily dancing in the streets and have hope for a brighter future. Meanwhile, happiness quickly turns into sadness in the anxiety ridden track “Pepper Tree.” This track features quivering vocals and haunting rock laden elements of jazz melodies that sound like a heartbroken woman’s arrogant boyfriend is firing demeaning insults at her for no reason. Then, begging her for forgiveness when she threatens to end their tumultuous relationship.
Finally, the emotional rollercoaster ride comes to a triumphant end in the sweltering track “The Pick Up.” This track features gritty vocals and sultry rock melodies that sound like two people whose hearts are beating wildly after making eye contact in a smoky bar. Now, the excitable couple has dreams of forever dancing through their heads.
Shuffle Knights is a fantastic jazz, rock, and soul band who views the world as both happy and sad throughout their latest album “Yellow.” Humanity can choose to either live life with grace, or pessimism which creates chaos the choice is up to us.
