Ronnie Montrose Remembered Yost Theater 1/21/2017

Review by Staci Amend

With an all-star lineup of amazing legends led by singer Keith St. John, the all-star jam was epic!! Some of rocks most notorious shredders graced the stage Saturday night to pay tribute to the late Ronnie Montrose those featured were Michael Devin-Whitesnake, Mitch Perry –Edgar Winter Band, Brent Woods Sebastian Bach, There was no shortage of Bass Legends as well such as Chuck Wright –Quiet Riot, Sean McNabb-Lynch Mob, Dokken-Rudy Sarzo-Whitesnake Ozzy Osbourne, as well as drummer extrodnairs Frankie Banali-Quiet Riot, Danny Seraphine-Chicago Troy Luccketta-Tesla and many others. The band paid tribute to some of the greatest hits from the first self-titled LP Montrose and Paper Money. One of the highlights of the evening was a rare moment of Rudy Sarzo and Frankie Banali sharing the stage for a blistering cover of “Rock Candy” also featuring Traci Guns shredding on guitar. Another great night of music to wrap up a great weekend of Namm.
