50 years ago today, The Who had a gig. 20 years ago this week, the House of Blues on Sunset opened its doors. Tonight, at the House of Blues, Brian Tichy created a marvelous show that paid tribute to Keith Moon and John Entwistle – the powerhouse rhythm section of The Who. Like any Tichy show, this was a lot of great music to digest at once. It was another historic event of great jamming by some top musicians.
The Natal drum set for the show was fantastic. So pretty.
Packed with an incredible list of top musicians, the show went on for hours with bass player after bass player, drummer after drummer and included many surprises, such as the Drummer Achievement going to Kenny Aronoff and the Bass Award to Lemmy from Motorhead.
